Fun with scarves! Two Little Blackbirds Movement activity

The addition of scarves to any story time, circle time, or classroom activity really increases the fun factor. Little ones love scarves and love to use them while singing their favorite songs. A good song to use during scarf play is the children's classic, "Two Little Blackbirds".

Take two scarves - one in each hand. Tell the children, "Let's pretend these are two birds!"

Hide the scarves behind your back during the "fly away" portions of the song. Reveal the scarves again during the "come part" parts. Your preschoolers will really get a kick out of their new and improved "Two Little Blackbirds" tune!
